Up for your consideration is a very rare Trophy Axe. It was found in Ross Co. Ohio . It is made of a gorgeous speckled Granite. The axe is fairly large for its type , measuring in at six " in length and three " in height. This axe is from 1 of the most prominent and important collections in the hobby. Col. Raymond Vietzen. 103-750. I am sure this axe is pictured at least once , either in his sales catalogues (old barn auctions) when the collection was dispursed or possibly in other publications. This piece sold at Tony Putty Auctions back in 2007 for $2800 and i believe this piece would be double that today in the right auction . This piece comes with a C.O.A from the highly respected Bill Jackson of Jackson Galleries, Bill didn't grade them back then but im confident this would be a G 10.
